Successful People Set Goals

Successful People Set Goals
By Kentaki Nordmann

Yes, I believe it is true; those who are most successful are those who are capable of setting realistic goals, and keep stretching to improve themselves to reach these goals.

Setting goals is for many people difficult, but if you create larger goals, with a deadline, and during this time period have several daily goals to achieve the larger goal. All these tasks/daily goals should be realistic, and as much as possible be enjoyable to reach. There is no point creating projects or goals that is too hard to reach.

I often would say that tasks should be a part of a larger project, a step to achieve something. It could be starting a business, creating a project to lose weight, a project to exercise efficient to master something.

The project could be as simple as improving yourself 1,2, 5 or even 10 percentage in something, let you become one of the best workers, having a sustainable company. It could be anything, but it should be realistic, and it should be daily or weekly tasks to achieve these goals, as you do them to reach your final goal you will most likely feel better.

A mistake many does is to create unrealistic goals, and/or unrealistic deadlines, and of course the danger of having goals that make you suffer, or miserable. IT should be a positive reason behind the goal, and be somehow enjoyable to do the tasks. Making you feel inspiration and hope for the future.

Every large goal should be treated as a project. A project will need proper management to handle changes. Maybe a way to reach goals better is to learn a bit on project management methodologies. These methodologies often contain risk analysis; rescheduling and other important tip on how to complete you project successfully.

It might also be a idea to put a priority to the daily tasks, or list you have of daily tasks. You put each of the tasks in a category of importance. You put the most important tasks in a A category, the goals that are nice to achieve, but not as important you put to a C category, while those who is neither to important, but still should be done as a B category.

Setting goals are an art form without any true right or wrong, but there are methods that can make it easier for you. Having a reason and long term main goal will usually give purpose to the daily goals, and knowing how to run a project successfully will make it easier to modify and handle to project well.
